| The Golburn Valley is well known for the richness, quality and diversity of its horticultural products. | In a sleepy corner of the
Goulburn Valley, a few kilometres north west of Shepparton, can be
found the little hamlet of Wunghnu… the home of Bunbartha Fruit
Packers (BFP) and Austfresh. The BFP operation is principally concerned with the growing, packing and marketing of fresh fruit for both the domestic and export markets. Bunbartha Fruit Packers Pty Ltd was established in July 1989 in a small packing shed on Osbornes Rd, Wunghnu, Victoria. Since that time, BFP has expanded to meet an ever increasing demand for its products and services. |
Today, that small packing
shed has grown to six times its original size and has a big brother
down the road. There are over 1000 acres under orchard with a seasonal
workforce of up to 350, all managed to the highest standards as BFP
is a Quality Assured firm with ISO 9002 accreditation and HACCP. BFP markets over two million cartons of fresh fruit annually, making the operation amongst the largest of its kind in Australia. BFP specialises in nashi, kiwifruit, premium cherries and plums, with a niché line of Christmas apricots. BFP packs under the name AUSTFRESH. |
